On September 6-7, Kyiv will host the celebration of the birthday of the capital’s historical gem – Andriyivskyi Descent, according to the Kyiv Tourism and Promotion Department (Kyiv City State Administration).
Andriyivskyi Descent is a unique place and one of Kyiv’s main tourist landmarks, where art intertwines with ancient legends.
The event program will feature actors, musicians, dancers, poets, painters, sculptors, blacksmiths, and potters from across Ukraine, creating the atmosphere of a true art fair.
A special poetry program will bring together contemporary authors whose words will fill Kyiv with new meanings.
For two days, the Descent will be filled with songs and music performed by the Podil ensemble “Zerniatko,” the “Harmony” orchestra, the “Vodohrai” orchestra, the “Suvenir” orchestra, the L. Revutskyi Choral Chapel, the “Bereh” orchestra, and the “Superdrummers” collective.
The grand finale will take place on the evening of September 7: at 8:00 p.m., the facade of St. Andrew’s Church will come alive with light and music – a video projection by audiovisual artist and serviceman Mykola Marusyk accompanied by the music of composer Oleksandr Muzhev will be displayed on the shrine’s façade. A charity fundraiser will also take place here.
In addition to the artistic program, on September 6 a festive “Run for Peace” will be held with prior registration.
September 6-7, 12:00-8:00 p.m.
