For Independence Day and National Flag Day in Kyiv, free guided tours will be held where participants will learn even more historical facts about the formation of independent Ukraine.
According to the Kyiv Tourism and Promotion Department (Kyiv City State Administration), on the occasion of Independence Day and National Flag Day, twelve free tours will take place in the city, organized together with the Kyiv Center for Tourism Development.
Visitors will get acquainted with the figures who shaped the idea of Ukrainian independence, learn about state formations of past centuries, discover the secrets of ancient Kyiv, and trace the path of Ukraine’s formation as a free state through significant events and historical sites.

Tour "Independence in Personalities", where visitors will learn about the figures who shaped the idea of independent Ukraine – from Prince Yaroslav the Wise to Lesya Ukrainka, Mykola Lysenko, Heorhiy Narbut, and other cultural figures. They will also discover little-known stories of Yaroslaviv Val Street, connected not only with Ukraine but also with the struggle for freedom of other nations.
